I remembered seing a Sinclair Z80 that was brought back by a 'computer science' student from Canada. It uses CP/M OS and has a cassette tape storage. Any biography on the inventor? I think his name is (Sir) Clive Sinclair. A Brit.

Hi, I'm getting a Check 6 message when I turn on my PC1500 + Printer/Cassette Interface. The printer manual says that this means that the Interface is not fully charged (page 102). Of course there are no batteries user accessible on the interface so:

1) Does anyone know of a fix for this or how to access the batteries?

2) Are there other possible explanations for the Check 6?

Take out the batteries and leave it for a bit... put them back in again and retry, that may reset the memory and allow you to enter programs ok.

I have a sharp pc 1500a. If I enter program, it gives me error 13, meaning exceeded memory. If I type mem then enter, it gives me zero (0). Is there not a built-in ram for this unit. If there is, how can I check or activate it? The memory expansion slot at the back is empty. Do I need one to make it accept program. Please help.
