I found an old IBM XT that was out in someones garage for a lot of years. It has an IBM 20 meg hard drive that won't boot. Fdisk came back with flakey results so I did a low level format on it. After that all lookes good but I still can't boot from it. I did a sys command from dos and that went ok but still no boot. If I remember right, if track 0 is bad, none of the above should have worked. I also don't get any error messages. The HD light flicks once then dos basic pops up. I havn't monkeyed with this stuff for a lot of years and hate to spend too many late nights figuring this out when one of you guys knows the answer already.
