I don't really have one "brand" of browser I'm into, I use different ones dependant upon processor/hardware type...
8088 - Minuet
80286 - Arachne
80386 - Arachne
80486 - Netscape 4.08 for Windows 3.1x
Pentium - MSIE 6.0
Anything Else - Mozilla Firefox 2 w/Adblock Plus and Noscript installed
Nintendo DS - Opera
Apple Power Macintosh (IBM PPC powered) - iCAB

I have Firefox 3 beta on this Ubuntu 8.04 beta install. I don't know if it (will when publicly released) naturally stay at 45MB in memory or if it's because the OS developers decided to switch the Firefox build over to GTK, but it does seem rather large.
Either way, the latest Firefox release is always my favorite...maybe not the *best* to other peoples opinion, but at least my favorite. :p

One of my favourites has to be Lynx (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lynx_(web_browser))

Definitely Firefox.....
I have never run into any compatibility issues.
Firefox is not nearly prone to all of the Spyware and Viruses that effect IE.
Very streamlined with a lot of Neat Plug-ins.
Constantly working on updates with a large following and support group.
This is pretty much the new Netscape!!! (Mozilla)

I use whatever us native of the OS if it has one. Mind you in Windows 3.x you had to buy something so it was Netscape then although they pissed me off for sharing information with another company so I stopped using them once IE was free.
