I just found an HD cover with the keylocking part on it for the IBM Model 25 PS/2...

It has the keyhole on it, and appears to be able to lock the system from being taken apart, but isn't there supposed to be a wire on it that locks the keyboard? mine is just mechanical, not electrical.

I'm unsure of all PS/2 models, but if you look at the model 50z being discussed currently in another thread, security was created by:
1. Set a power-on password, then
2. Lock the case to stop someone resetting BIOS (i.e. to remove password) by removing battery (for a while) or using the clear-password procedure.

In the case of the 50z, the case lock design is poor because in a few seconds, the lock can be bypassed using a flat blade screwdriver.

Model 25 XT is cheaper than that sadly.. No password options at all, not even a battery inside.

It does have jumpers for a keyboard lock, and I have seen someone lock their keyboard on the model 25 XT by the key lock. But mine has no wires for that, not even an electrical switch.

EDIT: And I did try looking online for this. I can't find anything about it, except how to open a locked 25.

UPDATE: I rigged up a switch on the plate, and connected it to the motherboard, so it locks keyboard now.. All set.
