Gang,
Has everybody noticed that early IBM PCs are often missing the bolts/screws that hold the case to the chassis? Ever run into one that had the screws meant to hold option cards in place actually serving in place of the much bigger screws that hold the case closed?
I was thinking that if we had somebody who is knowledgeable of hardware, they could tell us the specification for these screws and maybe even a source where we could buy them. Then we could all order a lifetime supply and everytime we get a new early IBM PC we could increase it's complement of screws to a complete set.
If that idea doesn't work for you, buy a bunch yourself and sell them to us on eBay. I'd buy a set or two. Or ten.
Extra credit: how about the smaller option card screws, too?
Any takers?
Thanks,
Sean
