I stumbled across a nice old working computer system, then I stumbled across this site while trying to research the computer. I don't know whether to trash the computer or if it has value to someone, hopefully, I can find out here. Unfortunately, I can not find any info on the web. It is a Mitsuba computer and monitor, in pristine condition. Any suggestions??
thanks

Can you take pictures of it? better yet, tell us the model number and any details you can. I did a quick search, and also came up mostly empty. How old do you think it is, I see Mistuba has been around for a long time (saw a Super Computer modem listed as new old stock). It sure sounds interesting.
And welcome! Vintage computing is fun!

nathanallen, how do you post pictures here? I'd say its probably from the
1970's, but thats an uneducated guess. I bought a bunch of stuff at an estate auction, and these computers were in boxes. The second one is about 2 1/2' tall and weighs a ton. I'll get the model numbers and if i can figure out how to post pictures, I will

Well you can only post a picture directly here if it meets certain strict specifications. When replying to a post, scroll down and press the "Manage Attachments" button. I prefer to post it on an image sharing site such as Photobucket, and then link it here. Simply copy the link that leads to the picture and then paste it here, or use some code to paste the image here. To do that, go to the internet page with ONLY that pciture on it. In a reply type:
[IMG] URL [/image]
and that should do it.

Whoops, okay, here's how I post pics when I have them.

Just upload it to your favorite picture hoster (picasa, yahoo, etc.) and toss up a link. That way, people can copy and then paste it into a browser address bar. Seems it's the easiest method for me (than making a link). Or just click.

The Colorado 250 is just the name on the tape drive, not the whole computer.

Well, here's the numbers I got off of the computers, if these are wrong, tell me how to find the right numbers
Mitsuba 120 mb sn 0061067 (it has a small square tape drive, a small floppy drive and a large floppy drive) The monitor is a Mitsuba MF8617 (gigantic)
Colorado 286 mb (it has 2-nec multispin 3x cd rom readers, a small rectangular tape drive, a small floppy drive and a large floppy drive. It is about 2.5' tall and is on wheels.)
HP Laserjet 3 Resolution Enhancement printer (weighs a ton)
Am I close?
