Laptops and Portables

I have put up a new home page for my web site, vintagecomputer.net. The greater majority of the page is dedicated to laptops and portables, including an article about portables and laptops from the March 1984 issue of "Microcomputing" and excerpts from Osborne Computer's "The Portable Companion" premier issue. Also included is a photo gallery of early laptops and portables, pictures from the Trenton Computer Festival, and pictures from recent restoration projects including a PDP 11/40, Amiga 500, TRS 80 Model 1, and a CTI 1008 computer with internal stringy floppy drive.

I have never seen the cover of that magazine, The Portable Companion. I imagine it had a different meaning back then.
