Gang,
I got the dot matrix printer for my Commodore 64 going. It hadn't worked on the self test, but I decided to try to print something out anyway. I printed some stuff out and there were dots that were heavier than the rest, which looked unacceptable. So I wrote a program to print "The quick brown fox jumped over the lazy dog's back 1234567890 times." two hundred times. This sentence contains all of the letters of the alphabet and all of the numbers and when printed, it is easy to see if anything is amiss, more so than the letters in order. It is a throwback to teletype days.
After the printer finished exercising the pins, the output was nice and even, good enough to read.
Tomorrow I will write a letter to one of my relatives on my Commodore 64, and then I will print it and mail it.

Sean wants to trade anything you want for a copy of Microsoft Works for Windows version one. If you've got a copy drop him a line and tell him what you want.
