My name is John and I found this great site while looking for a place to list a vintage IBM-Portable PC for sale.
I also own an IBM-PC 5150 that is in great shape except for a broken Hard Drive. It was my first computer and now I'm attached to it and want to get it up and running again.
I also collect old CPU's and other vintage computer chips and boards from pre-1990. I rescue them from Scrap dealers on Ebay and from discarded and non-working PC's that I find on "Freecycle.org".
If you are discarding any old intact circuit boards, I will take them and save them from the "Scrappers" that melt them down.
If you want to learn more about CPU's, chips or chip collecting, check out "CPU-World.com". They also trade and sell vintage chips and it's a great resource for any information on CPU's and what CPU will work with a particular system.
The prices are lots cheaper than Ebay, FYI.
Cheers.
