i just stumbled across this little gem. here's a patched version of DOSBox 0.72 that has built-in emulation of an NE2000 ethernet card. i've been looking for something like this for quite a while.

i packaged it up all nice and neat in a ZIP, ready to go. just extract it to wherever you want to run DOSBox from. make sure you read the README_RIGHT_NOW!.TXT file!

yeah, i can think of about a million uses for this. if nothing else, it will make it a lot easier to work network progs with QB and TC (when i get to that point with TC anyway)

Where did the patched version with network support come from? Do you have the original link?

And wow, what a great job the author did. DOSBOX doesn't normally support Ethernet. I'm running my IRC client in it now and it is working perfectly.

I never knew dosbox didn't support ethernet in the first place, but in that case, that's pretty cool :p
