I have been waiting for a decade -- seriously, I've had my ebay account since 1997 -- for this:

...and even though I'm somewhat broke, I bid the most I could possibly afford and still missed it.

(sigh)

Oh well, I can wait another decade...

What is so special about that PcJr?

As far as ebay goes I have waited years to find specific items for my collection at a reasonable price, they do show up.

You live "kinda-sorta" by Garland? No way, I do to! I live in Lewisville, the south-east end of Denton County. Not for long, I'm moving next wednesday.

Yeah, what is so special about that PCjr? I see craploads just like that sell for much less all the time. As for the NOS one, I'm surprised how much it went for. Just at the beggining of the depression we are falling head first into I was bidding on a PCjr, NOS. Went to $133 and I had to let it go. That's how much it went for, too. $133. Well, I had my eye on something I needed more--a laptop. Dammit all to hell I sold the thing for gas money!

*goes and sobs in the corner*

Interesting, I’m more in the Fort Worth area. Well I used to live in Keller, but I moved last summer about 5 miles away. Now I’m considered to live in the Fort Worth City limits, So that reeks havoc on the Keller post office lol. It took them 3 months for them to get a Disk II drive from Abilene TX, to Fort Worth. Then when it got there, they hassled me and made me drive about 20 minutes (well more like an hour cause of the traffic) to their post office to pick it up! That was fun. lol

It had a third-party hard drive attachment. That wasn't a floppy in the picture, it was an MFM hard drive!

sigh...

One of these days I need to get a 2nd floppy drive attachment as well...

It's got a hard drive. I missed that when I saw the auction.

Had I realized that machine had a hard drive, I'd have purchased it. Even in it's known, not working state. On a PCjr that is extremely rare, and many of the hard drive solutions were desirable SCSI solutions.

BTW, there was a known working HD unit with a SCSI adapter sold on eBay for a few years ago. It was around $150 back then too. I know the person who got it, and it was a beautiful system.

Check the auction winner -- I think it's the same guy who got the one a few years ago...
