View Full Version : Problem with win2k network connections...

This has mystified me totally.

I go to start>settings>network and dial-up connections and the next pane will not expand. I have tried starting up a bunch of services that I normally keep shut off, went through the network troubleshooter and the icon pan will not expand.

I have tried the following RUN commands:

control netconnections

ncpa.cpl

netsetup.cpl

The first two do absolutely nothing and the third gives me an error of command not found.

What could be causing this?? I'm stymied about it!

What network connections do you have on the system? Do they seem to work even though it won't let you into the configuration? I don't think I have to ask about the simple things (although the areas that are locked usually happen later) of whether you are on at administrator level.

You might try running ccleaner, virus & spyware scans, and utilities to restore network components...
