Memory card question

I recently aquired a memory card, see pic below

Can this be used in any 386 PC which has this sort of memory slot, it seem it will go in backwards on this motherboard I have, lol

The bracket will be located at the front of the case instead of at the backplane

Won't work, those memory expansion cards were designed for particular motherboards (I think I have a couple around)...

Damn, oh well...it might be useful in the future if I find a suitable board
I was hoping to use this card for for some extra RAM, this board apparently needs parity RAM since I got a parity check error when I booted it with another 4x 1mb sticks I had

I think most if not all of these type of memory cards were proprietary
and only worked with the MB they were designed for. I have an old
386 MB with a special memory card slot, and no matching memory card :-(
Unfortunately this is the only way to add memory to this MB so its pretty
much useless. There is no onboard memory, dram slots, or simm slots.

Mikey99, I have a card that looks much like that slot, at least I THINK I do. I'm gonna go dig it up after lunch and see what I've got.

I believe that might work with my 386 DSI, it has a ISA slot next to the memory slots, like this:

I have about three of those same motherboards myself...

In this case it looks like the ISA-style connection is reversed from the memory adapter...

The "16-bit" portion is not pointing inboard like the memory card...

I did not notice that until now...scratch that! Perhaps it does have a special card just for that motherboard?
