I have an atari game console which I cannot identify. It has an expansion slot which is just a card edge, two joystick ports which look like the RS-232 of a PC, I think the system came from 1982, it has a zilog 80 processor, one of the chips has a small heat sink on it. When I open up the conrollers I find mostly an array of diodes. The cartidges which I have long lost have but two chips in them. If anyone could give me the pinout of the expansion slot so I can do something useful with it then please infrom me or if you just know what atari it is please tell me.

Pictures? The Atari video games - 2600, 5200, 7800 - all were 6502 derivates if I understand correctly. However Atari made a series of Pong games too, perhaps some with detachable controllers. Yours isn't one of those? When you write card edge, do you mean male or female connector? All cartridge based systems has a card edge, usually a female connctor on the console/computer side and a simpler male edge on the cartridge side.
