Greetings to All,
I apologize for the shameless self-promotion, but I want to let you know that I'm selling a Xerox 820-II on Ebay. It's complete, works very well, has some brand new spares and original manuals. Lots more detail and pictures are located at
Xerox 820 on Ebay (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=320265453123&ssPageName=STRK:MESE:IT&ih=011)
or just do a search for Xerox 820, it comes right up.
Thank you for your time...

Further shameless self-promotion, if anyone here buys this, I have a Digital RX-180-AB external dual drive box that owners of 820s used to like hooking to them :)

Dude - seriously nice piece.....VERY nice...
These are welcome here, just make sure to put them under the "Vintage Computer Auctions" area...otherwise, they are allowed :)

Here's a little bit of info and a picture;

Here is a picture from Dave Dunfield's site of the RX-180 hooked up to a "Robin" VT-180 (second from the bottom)

As to why it was popular for the 820, I read the rationale in some obscure posting somewhere and, if I find it, I'll post it. Apparantly, lots of systems can use it.
I know Rich Cini gutted one to hook up to his IMSAI system :)
