Free DOS

I'm not sure I mentioned it before, but I noticed my copy of Free DOS lying around. I ordered a CD-ROM from the Linux CD Mall (www.linuxCDMalll.com) back when I only had dialup. I like the illustration of a blue whale on the cover of the disc box... but the commands are so different from MS-DOS I had trouble understanding how to work it.

But anyway, if you have a broadband connection you can download the whole thing for free (www.freedos.org).

A nice, if a tad complicated alternative to MS DOS.

It is now all I use on any computer with DOS. With all the programs people have and are making for it, there lots of modern day features and support for DOS.
Between that and OpenGem I am as happy as a Pig in...
