Altair and IMSAI emulators

Gang,

I just got a Google alert for imsai -arasan -arasi (you have to tell it to not alert pages with those two words, they are from some foreign film and there are a ton of pages with them). It says that the source code for an Altair and an imsai emulator for Windows 95 and NT were written by a Claus Giloi. The link to the FTP site with the source code is broken.

I looked for pages with his name and found one with his Altair simulator on it. I was able to step through memory with it. I don't know the op codes so I can't program it. Here is the link:

Didn't have the guts to try the imsai on a p4 before I sent this message.

Oh, if you press the "slow" switch on the Altair simulator, it steps through memory at about three steps per second (Hertz). So you can watch the pretty lights flash :)

I took the project over from Claus back in 2000. The emulators that he wrote weren't actually functional -- only about 80% of the CPU instructions worked properly and there was no I/O between the emulation environment and the host environment.

You can pick up a complete binary and source package from my Web site:

The source is configured to compile to the Altair front panel graphic but a simple compilation switch can change it to the IMSAI.
