I applaud most of the improvements to the forum. One of them being the dissappearence of a carefully pondered message while you think about it. Yahoo also now has a message-saving feature where your message is saved should there be a glitch in your connection.

Unfortunatelly the forum edtor has a hangover from the days of supposedly slick quick key-combinaton programmng from earlier times. Numerous times in a posting or PM the program has deleted my considered message due to an accidental key-combinaton which deleted the previous text of my message. Couldn't key-combnatons be given provisional status such as the old "Do you really want to delete all the present content of your message ?" Or just get rid of the bloody things altogether, when highlighting text to be deleted is so easily done in Windows.

Aarrrgghhhhh !!!!

The easiest way to avoid the hotkey stuff (most of it, anyway) is to use the quick reply editor rather than the advanced one.

I agree that an "are you sure" message would be nice but I can see how it's harder to do in a web based environment. . .

I do like the idea of a message save. Yahoo and Google both do it. . . I'll make the suggestion to the vBulletin crew.

Thanks! :)
