I don't know if any of you have heard of this (I hadn't until yesterday).
Freecycle is a neat online project for getting rid of unwanted items. One
rule: Everything must be free! Also, it is divided into lists which are
sorted by geographical area, and local pickup is encouraged.

I haven't found any neat Commodore goodies on my local list (Toronto) yet,
but there's bound to be some. Also, you can post requests to your local
list and see what happens. Another alternative to eBay, and the price is
right.

Interesting. Found the Yahoo group for my specific area and it was fairly active.

I managed to pick up some real nice stuff through this.

You can sign up for multiple areas, pretty much anywhere you are willing to drive to.

Also check out http://www.craigslist.org ; they have servers that cover a number of different geographic areas. Choose the one closest to you. There might be some finds waiting in the "free" area of their for sale section.
