I give up. I just can't get my AWE64 to work in Windows 98SE under DOS mode.
I remember way back when making a boot disk with sound and mouse drivers to boot to so I could play certain games as they didn't like running under Windows.
Could anyone help me out here?

i might be able to fix you up this weekend...
i have a dos 6.22 install on my 16mb CF card...
i am going to try to get it setup with
awe64, sb16, sbpro2, & via AC97 support
scsi, ide, panasonic, & fake cdrom support
serial, ps2, & usb mouse support
this is going to be driven by selectable boot options...

That sounds awesome! Do let me know when you finish it!
BTW, does your user name mean 1984 Firebird TA convertible? If so, are you on thirdgen.org?

I don't know why, but something about settings in SET BLASTER jumps into my head about the AWE cards...I had an AWE64 Gold and I had to set Type 3 for the card before it would work properly with some DOS games. The syntax in the autoexec.bat file was something like this...
SET BLASTER=A220 I5 D1 P330 T3
If T3 doesn't work, try T6 as Type 6 was more for the PCI cards.
I hope that this helps.
