i have tryed a straight through lead but keys are all jumbled up and inpossible to type words

I'm not sure what the rarity is of one but if it's really an issue, you may just want to look at trying to find another SX-64. I don't know the average prices anymore but last time I was looking and bought mine I think they were just around $100 (US). Interestingly/alternatively this person has found them to be a bit pricier by searching for these auctions and compiling the data, I'm unsure of the accuracy or data methodology used but it's certainly an interesting idea. http://randoc.wordpress.com/2009/03/30/final-commodore-sx64-ebay-price-analysis/

I'm afraid he has introduced "errors" in his data when converting US auction prices from USD to EUR:

January 2008: 1 EUR = 1.47 USD
July 2008: 1 EUR = 1.57 USD
September 2008: 1 EUR = 1.43 USD
November 2008: 1 EUR = 1.27 USD
December 2008: 1 EUR = 1.35 USD
February 2009: 1 EUR = 1.28 USD
April 2009: 1 EUR = 1.32 USD

It means the lower record of 26 EUR may equal anything from $33 - $41 depending at what time of year it sold. The upper record of 290 EUR ranges from $368 - $455. The average of 94 EUR equals $119 - $147, in today's rate $124.

Still it doesn't surprise me that a PAL SX-64 is 2-3 times as valuable as a NTSC one. However prices have dropped on those units too lately.

Back to the original topic, I realized somewhere I have a 25-pin fully connected parallel cable. It should be of the right gender. I'll try some day, but expect it to be too long to be working. I actually used a multimeter to check some of the pins on my cable to ensure it appears to be straight connected, but didn't check every single of the 23 pins.
