Looking for a media center program for Windows 9x that is similar to this. Just plays music, video, cool GUI, doesn't need high-powered graphics card, runs on win98SE.

yeah that Xbox Media Center software is simply awesome. i have that on my Xbox, dunno what i'd do without it. if you want similar software for windows, check out GBPVR.

i've used this thoroughly in the past on a computer i had hooked up to my TV and home stereo. it's very cool. that was a couple years ago, i'm sure it's even better now. i don't know if it will run on windows 98, but give it a try. if not, you should consider installing Windows FLP on whatever machine you have 98 on now.

FLP = Fundamentals for Legacy PCs. it's an emaciated version of XP Pro without all the fat. i've tried it all the way down to a 200 MHz Pentium MMX system, and it was quite fast on it.

I use MediaPortal: http://www.team-mediaportal.com/
Not quite as good as XBMC, but almost.
