That category already exists. It is called "Other".

Folks, we don't really need more forums to confuse people. The current set meets our needs just fine.

It's hard not to agree with Vlad when you look at the actual postings. Just a few days ago there was a suggestion for a networking related forum. That clearely makes a lot of sence and a number of people, including myself, chimed in with strong positives. However, that thread died right away. Furthermore when a couple of days later there is a request for features in some new networking programs, nobody answers! That's got to show you something. :p

So what does it show? My thought is that people are only interested in specifics like networking at the time when they are fiddeling with it. Once they are set up, or busy doing something else, then they lose interest. It might just be the focused nature of the technical mind and that is why only very broad subjects work well for the forums. /2cents

Very well said Ole.

In regards to the networking forum things like that often fall under a different category, such as IRC or TCP/IP could be considered software and NIC's fall under hardware. A dedicated discussion on networking could always be a thread stickied in another forum as well. Also tips and advice on networking would make a great wiki page. :)
