I despise Internet Explorer. The thing I have a problem with is not Active-X, lack of security or similar problems, it's not following well defined standards. My website makes use of CSS and the fix command to make the menu stay in one position while the other parts of the page scrolls. It works in Firefox, Mozilla, new releases of Netscape, my copy of Safari and I've been told in Opera. Not in IE. If this was a bug in IE, I could accept that but it is an intentional design decision by MS not to support "standards" unless they are "Microsoft innovations".

Business practices of Microsft aside, I feel this is corporate arrogance at it's best...or worse.

Whew.....I feel better now. :D

If it makes you feel better, you can hack around to get a solution that works in all browsers. If you can not find the solution yourself, ask me.

But yes, IE only implements parts of the standards and instead make its own extentions. It will be interesting to see which path Microsoft takes with IE7, apart from introducing a new dozen of security holes.

Guess that if they were just holes to keep the Viruses our, M$ could just release IE7 for Windows 3.1! Would that work? I'm thinking it would eliminate a lot of current viruses!
