I have about had it with these BS commercials that try to sell you stuff at super high prices.... Like right now theres one on my TV advertising a ladder for 4 easy payments of $89.99 USD !!!!!!!! $359.95 for a freakin ladder!!!!! The only reason I am ranting is that there is nothing special about it. Its just a ladder that you can change the height of. Big deal, I can get one for less than $359!!
Whats with these people?

Back in my "carny" days, we used to use one of those ladders on a more-or-less daily basis. While it was quite useful for a number of purposes, I don't think I'd give more than fourty bucks for one (certainly not $89.99 x3).
OTOH, the knife set that Ron Popeill has been plugging lately looks real interesting (3 easy payments of $13.33), especially since he's throwing-in a "PocketFisherman" in the deal, too...

In my not-so-humble opinion, the PocketFisherman was the only useful item that Popeill/Ronco ever marketed (I landed an 8-pound bass on one once with a purple "MisterTwister" for bait)...

I always though the rotisserie thing looked neat, but not for the price they were selling it for.

"pulls off a hat with a handle"
LADIES AND GENTLEMEN.............
I'm not here to post or spam, I'm here to sell, that's right my friends, I got the handiest....the dandiest kitchen tool out there....and what could it possibly be!?!?
THATS RIGHT IT'S THE SLEDGE-O-MATIC!
Gallagher is hilarious....
Ok, enough kidding aside. Infomercials are actually quite entertaining. Being a guitarist myself, I still enjoy watching Esteban peddle crap guitars on his infomercials. He has to play House of the rising sun 24 times, then you have to always have the cute woman playing a G chord (no guitar gimmick infomercial is never complete without a 20 something year old female playing a G major chord, unless it's Roy Clark and that 4 bar E-Z Chord thingy or his "signature" guitar that bears an uncanny resemblance to the $45 Harmony acoustic found in most Sears catalogs). And don't even get me started when he starts playing Rock.....and I even heard through the grapevine that his amplifier has a magical "overdrive" button that can make your acoustic sound like James Hetfields $10,000 custom shop ESP Explorer guitar (Sounds like Metallica...more like Metallic without the A if you ask me). Just read the Harmony Central reviews, they are really funny (well, some of them).
I have never found a more messed up/funny infomercial than the Esteban ads. Though I do find it funny when they always have this blonde 30-40 something woman as the co-host who gets so uber-excited about things like food dehydrators, magical spit roasting machines, a minature weed-wacker type device that's really nothing more than a hand-held blender, and various sealing machines. Also, that english dude on the Blue Sheild car restorer commercials was a trip as well.

Oh yeah, I'd forgot about that one. Weren't you impressed when they set the hood on fire?
