Hello Fellow Old Computer Lovers!

I've got quite a stash of Old Stuff here at my house. I'm not really a
collector, but most of my stuff was bought simply for the challenge of
seeing/learning what it could do..

I used to use and love my Old Computers all the time, but that
was back when I had an extra bedroom which gradually became a
machine room...

Unfortunately, my brother moved back a couple of years ago, so
all of the working stuff got stacked away in the garage...
none of the really old stuff gets much use anymore, but I can't
just throw it away...

My oldest stuff is of the 8" disk variety, a couple of BigBoard CP/M
machines, A Callan Data Systems Unix Computer, Xerox 820's,
A few Epson QX-10/16's, and a number of other oddballs, like a
Rockwell AIM-65, some working, some unknown because I have
no disks, or other needed peripheral.

I'd prolly still be collecting even more, but I have too much already
and have precious little room to devote to them as is...

Also wanted to point out that I saw an IMSAI 8080 for $60 just two
weeks ago at a local swap meet, so Good Old Hardware is STILL
out there to be had...

Anywho, just wanted to say HI!
I'm glad to have a place to chat about the old stuff.

Hello and welcome to the VC Forum!

I hope you find the time (and space) to play with your collection more actively again soon!

As for the $60 IMSAI, the next time you see one, buy it for me and I'll double it plus pay shipping! :)

Which swap meet was it at, btw?

I wish I could "play" with some of my old stuff...

But that would mean digging through half of the garage...

The swap was at Cypress College, It's a weekly Sat/Sun swap, nothing ever really pops up that old anymore, save for a few early Macs, or PC's...

The IMSAI 8080 looked perfect though, had all the toggle switches and stuff and a seperate matching blue box with who knows what in it...

A lot of the stuff sold there comes from storage spaces that get auctioned off for non-payment or other reasons... none of it actually comes from the college.

It's one of those swap meets that you MUST go to regularly simply because you never know what cool thing you'll find... And there's ALWAYS something different to see...

My entire old Mac collection came from there...
