Howdy!

Just wanted to pop on in and say hi to this growing community of vintage computer enthusiasts! I hail from Austin, TX, home of the computer museum located at Goodwill Computerworks. My personal interests in older computers is a bit more focused as far as my collection goes, but I do hold in interest in pretty much any old computer I see. I've spent many hours just reading up on older systems that I had never used or even heard about.

Anyway, my personal collection is far larger on the vintage video gaming side than the computer side, although the computer side has definitely been catching my interest more lately. My vintage computer collection right now basically consists of an Atari 800XL, Atari Falcon030, and Amiga 1200. I was primarily an Atari user way back in the day, although I also liked many other systems, including those from Apple and Commodore. Unfortunately, my current collection is almost where I'll have to put the brakes on my collecting, as I think my wife will kill me if I bring home one more computer! I'm still planning on at least picking up a C64, but we'll see how long I'll survive my wife's wrath after bringing it home. :D

Regardless, you guys should be seeing me around here quite often!

Hello and welcome to the VC Forum!

I can empathize with the lack of spousal support for the collection, but let me tell you that they do eventually seem to get numbed by it. . . :D

Enjoy the forums!

Heh, that Atari Forum should interest you then.
I was just complaining about the state they have
treated their console users!

Unfortunately, I've never got into the computing
side of Atari much & all I really know is how the
Atari XE was quickly replaced with the Atari ST
(according to some site I've read!).

No doubt! :-)

Cheers.
