The Model 25 runs a straight, natural ISA bus, so just about any card & drive should work.

but the model 25 doesn't have any standard internal power connectors. How would it be powered?

Terry, I am trying to preserve a natural condition, that requires me not to mutilate the internal PSU.
If I had two of these systems, I would, but a hardcard was what IBM wanted people to use..

I don't quite understand. It has a ps, therefore it has power plugs on it. Is the particular card you mean seperately powered?? Aren't the drives powered from the power supply? Can adapters be made from one power plug to another? No need to cut when you can adapt. I re-read the posts and now I understand. Mouser.com is really good for getting parts for making adapters; there's no minimum order.

I have mine open right now. There are none of the standard molex type power connectors. Only a single power connection to the planar. The Planar supplies power to the floppy drives and to the optional proprietary hard drive.

Does it look like an adapter could be made from that planar connector to an octopus type cable, then to the planar again? I made a little linedrawing. Picture is worth a thousand words. Please keep in mind that I'm working off your description.
