I've been writing and editing my stories on Atari Portfolios since 1991. How can I download these to the iMac? I've got serial and parallel ports and a serial to USB cable.
Would be grateful for any advice.
Thank you,
Matt

I started my collecting binge with Ataris and even bought a Parallel port add-on in anticipation of getting one.
Unfortunately it never came to pass altho I do have a Sharp PC3K which is basicly a Portfolio 2 made by the same company DIP (?) for, and rejected by, Atari but was quickly scooped up by Sharp. Similiar to the HP95. It's major failings were non-standard serial and parallel ports.
DAMN YOU SAM TRAMIEL, you greedy bastard !!
Some of it's capabilities can be found here :

With the Portfolio's parallel port one would think that you could simply transfer to a PC using Lynx or Interserver.
There used to be a site in Poland or Czechoslovakia which supplied memory and other modules. Is that still in existence ?
