Hi there:
I know that this sounds strange but I need to find at least two (2) Deskpro 286 machines. Preferably the 286m 12mhz model 2051. I don't need monitors, or keyboards. I only require that the machines work (type of OS is irrelevant), have the factory case, and come complete with all internals, ie hdd, controller(s), and floppy(s).
If you have a working 8mhz model 2050 I might consider that if it is in working order. I will NOT consider a 286N. These I'm told were work stations tied into a network, and as such cannot operate as stand alone units, unless you can prove to my satisfaction that there is a controller available to make this unit a stand alone computer.
If you have machines that don't work, or have cases, and parts to sell let me know. No promises, but I will consider it.
I am also looking for some Compaq model 000957-001 multicontollers.
I'm not willing to pay all that much for these parts, but if you have some of these boat anchors taking up space in your garage, or storage, and you want to get rid of it. I 'll pay, a few bucks, as well as shipping.
Let me know what you have.
