I'm looking for an Apple Lisa (I or II/XL) in any condition. I'm currently saving the $140 in my posession for the Nintendo Wii, but I'd be willing to trade any item in my collection for a Lisa (see the link in my signature), Including a Compaq Portable 386(unlisted on my site). Only offers from owners that live in/around Elk Grove/Sacramento/OrangeVille/Citrus Heights, CA please!

By the way, the Compaq Portable 386 has a dial-up modem, though I don't remember what kind...

Two things.
One, Not likely you'll find one local.
Two, $200 proably won't even get one gutted.

For some reason, people think they are mucho valuable.
$300 and higher on ebay usually.

Lisa's are troubled computers anyway, that is why I never bothered saving for one. I'd rather have 10 less valuable units than on valuable unit.

Yeah, but the Lisa is had a major role in history. I tend to be attracted to computers/video-games that had a major role (though I'm also still attracted to rarity). That's why I spent $28 on eBay for an Atari 800 w/o anything but Atari BASIC. (You know how bidding gets addictive like that?)

True. But those items are for avid collectors with lots of cash. Sure, I could have not gotten my collections, and just baught a lisa, but then I have something I couldn't have fun with. Instead, I baught a whole bunch of different units, that way, I can have fun.
Lisa's are like valuable baseball cards. They are useless and are not much fun because if you ruin it, then you can't afford another one. But take my compaq portable I for instance, it served a less pivital role in history, but a pivital role nonetheless, but if I accidentally damage it, it aint going to cost me my soul..lol
Yes, I know how bidding gets, but I usually look for buy it nows first. I got a commodore cbm 8032 for $75 two minutes after the fella listed it, and they usually go for $125-200

Or will it cost you your soul???.....Yeah, your probobly right. Nevertheless, though, I'm still going to keep asking Erik if I can buy one of his busted units though!!! You hear that Erik!? I'm still gonna keep bugging you, & there's nothing you can do to stop me! Mwahahahahaha!

if you can grab one for $25 or so that doesn't work, then that is great.

If I find a busted unit for $25, then that'd be a freaking miracle!!! (& miracles are common for me. I once found Super Mario RPG: The legend of the 7 Stars at a garage sale, completely boxed & in mint condition, for $1 or $2!!! That game retails used for $50+ now!)

If it is broke, then the value is 1/16 of the high price, that is saying it is in good physical shape.
I wouldn't pay $75 for a broke cbm Or $50 for a broke compaq portable.;)
