Hi all,
Got an idea for y'all.
Just picked up an 8K Constant Memory RAM Cartridge for my beloved CC-40's. Of course, the battery was dead, so I opened it up and discovered the RAM chip is a HM6264LP-12. The interesting thing is the 16K cartridge is exactly the same except there are 2 chips and no battery.
The question comes to mind, could the 16K cartridge be battery backed? If so, would I need 1 battery or 2. Of course, the main constraint will be space as the cartridges are pretty well full with just the 2 chips, but technically, you could run the cartridge with the "top down" as it were...
Just a thought.
