Hi Erik & All,

Below in the sections you've created you have this Jump To another section box.

Do you know if you can setup the section writing in this box so that sections with unread posts lite up? (like you have with those little graphical images with the writing in the main section).

Cheers.

Unfortunately that's not a feature with the current version of the software. I'm not sure if it is or isn't with the new version that's in Beta now.

I'll check.

Meanwhile, at the top of the forum list there's a link to "view posts since last visit" which I find to be the most helpful.

Oh okay, I was just wonderning if
it was available. Don't worry too
much if it's a big deal to make
the alterations.

Oh well, if it's too much trouble
to install, then don't worry,
unless you really want a feature
like that.

I do try to keep the boards up to the current stable release of the software that runs them. I upgraded from PHPBB 2.0.5 to 2.0.6 this morning, for instance.

2.2.0 is in the middle of its Beta phase and should be ready for release in a month or two. When that becomes available I'll probably upgrade pretty quickly.

When I found that little feature it made things MUCH easier and quicker.

That sounds good, I just hope that doing a
major update doesn't delete the some
2000+ messages here! ;-)

Cheers.

Every update so far has kept the message board completely intact. I'll keep my fingers crossed that the trend continues! :)

He's actually a stupid troll and he does this on dozens if not hundreds of boards. Nobody knows why.

He's harmless, if annoying.

I dunno, I have a lot of respect for someone who can troll correctly.

Just got one of those e-mails telling me there was a new post here. When
I check - message doesn't exist!

Wasn't more spam which was deleted?

Cheers,
CP/M User.

What the hell does that mean?

It was a computer-generated series of nonsense words, posted for the sole purpose of posting the link to the online casino. This was the third time that link has been posted here.

I have never been served Spam (the canned meat product), but we have some similar products over here, including other brands of corned beef. It can be OK if mixed with other things.
