Does anyone know much about the Helios disk systems for the Sol-20?
Did they require a special card to drive them or can they be used with any generic floppy controller?
What are the basic specs, etc?

... are notoriously flakey. Very difficult to get running and keep running. Probably better to interface some other drives to the SOL.

Northstars, f'rinstance. My friend, Mark uses them on his SOL, and he hardly ever has problems with them. The paint-job on 'em even matches.

Micropolis 5.25" drives also work well on the Sol-20. Blue paint job too.
