But start here: http://www.totalrewind.org/infodesk.htm. This is a fabulous site if you have any interest whatsoever in video machines. It made me want to polish up my Sanyo VCR-4670 and watch the old "Star Wars" movie I recorded in 1985 the first time it was shown on network TV!

I have an old Hitachi VT-8700E VHS player, I think it is from around 1981. Sadly it doesn't work, when you put the tape it it just rejects it. Still looks very cool and weighs a TON!

I have a stack of the sony branded CP-5000u umatic players they were setup for the racks at the local campus cable, sadly most need "help" to load and unload tapes but otherwise work OK.
