Hi,
I have a Zenith TurbosPort 386 that was working just fine. I hadn't used it for several months, and when I went to turn it on, it wouldn't do anything. I checked the batteries and they were discharged so I charged them. The external power indicator lights up when the power supply is plugged in.
I had to change the internal Dallas semiconductor RTC/battery device many year ago, so I thought that it might have died again. I got a new device and installed it, but still no response to the power switch.
I'm not sure, but I thought that there was a protocol to follow after changing the RTC chip which involved jumpering something on the CPU board.
Does anyone have an idea of what's going on?
Thanks.
