Two bytes walk into a pub. The first byte turns to the second and says
"I think I may have a parity error." The second byte turns to the first and
says "yeah, you do look a bit off."

There are 10 kinds of people in the world... those who understand binary and
those who don't.

Two things have come out of Berkley, Unix and Acid; we do not believe
this to be a coincidence.

Programming is the process of converting caffeine into error messages.

Remember that there is no code faster than no code.

Another one like the first:

Two atoms walk into a bar.

The first one says "Dang, I've lost an electron."

The second says "are you sure?"

The first says "I'm positive!"

It doesn't make much sense...

Anyways, how about this one: What does a computer say when you cuss at it? "Bad command or file name"!

I believe the precursor to this joke went - there are 3 kinds of people in the world - those that can count, and those that can't! LOL LOL LOL

I'm too embarrassed to admit how long it took me to figure it out though...:(

My POST never registers a parity error, so I must be a couple of bits off...

Umm...basic physics :) An atom minus one electron has a net positive charge.

Who is General Failure and why is he reading drive C?

One of my favorite taglines from the BBS days:

Real programmers use COPY CON PROGRAM.EXE

Real programmers using that method will wind up in the looney bin before long. So says Colonel Dumpkoff LOL LOL LOL

lol. i've tried that before. i made a 10 byte EXE file that did nothing but reset the computer.

oh yeah, and when i was like 5... and i first got a BASIC programming book, i had no idea how to use it. so what i did was type all the example code into an EXE file with copy con>program.exe

then i kept getting mad when it didn't work.

This is from a russian cartoon site:

I put the wordings on the bottom; looking for suggestions from our VC folks
for better wordings. The winner will have his name and prose printed under
the cartoon!
