Greetings All!
I have my collection of Epson CP/M machines that need to find a good home.
I have the following:
1 - Epson PX8 Geneva, complete, powers up when plugged in. Keyboard cover is intact and used on this, so the keys are nice and shiny. Shows small amount of wear on the case (minor scratches) but overall very good condition.
1- MultiUnit 64 (attached) 64K ram pack and 300bps modem (and additional rom slot)
Unit has BASIC, Portable WordStar and Portable Calc ROM's installed.
The tape drive works. I have 7 tapes of various stuff (that I inherited with the machine... don't know what all is on them, to be honest)
I have the command summary guide, the introducing the Epson PX8 stand up guide
PX8 Technical Manual:
covers all the internals (including wiring diagrams) of the PX8. Programming notes, jumpers, everything. 1-3/4" think in 3 ring binder.
1- Epson HX40. This is a similar unit that uses the same ROM's (I know, I swapped them around to see) as the PX-8. This unit has a rom in it for ordering supplies (Foxmeyer Drug Co Electronic ordering) It has a half width (same height) screen as the PX 8 and also will run when plugged in.
It has a slight problem with the keyboard, the "y" key is lazy in response. Sometimes it works, sometimes not. It is labeled "Magic Box". The unit shows a lot of wear on it, appears to have been used a lot. Needs a good cleaning more than anything else.
**
UPDATE: I pulled the keyboard apart and cleaned it, the y key is now working fine, as are all the other keys.
**
has a modem controller cartridge installed on it, that can use the CX-20 coupler (below)
2- External 128k ramdisks (model H411 code A) They both work.
1 -Epson CX-20 Accoustic coupler. Batteries had a slight surface charge and the power light flashed for a couple of seconds when I powered it on... but they are dead.
1- miniplug to 25 pin serial adapter
1-null modem adapter (may be for apple... don't know, never used it)
1 (and only 1, sorry) power supply for both machines. Works.
Will sell all or part. I'll get the pix I took up and linked here shortly.
I just want them to go where they'll be appreciated... they seemed like good units to me, and I used the PX8 for a little bit on wordstar and calc, but it just wasn't a good enough replacement for my HP100LX :)
$125 takes it all.
