Seeing as Mike Chambers has posted a YouTube link to his XT running Linux, I thought I'd post my video.

I did this one a few months ago for my web server.

The computer is entirely hand built using wire wrap and based around the Intel 8080 (though I'm saving my Intel chip and using a National Semiconductor one). It runs CP/M 2.2 and there's a heap of software to go with it. The only problem is I'm using FM mode on my floppy disk controller so the 8080 can keep up with the data, which means each disk is only 160K formatted. I've tried DMA controllers but they're too tricky to implement on a 64 pin bus.

Yep, I really enjoyed playing Zork 1 on my Vector Graphics/1 with a ADM 3 terminal attached. I gave the entire setup to a friend when I moved from San Diego (about 1983).

I recently tried playing Zork 1 again in DOSBox but. per usual, it wasn't nearly as much fun as I remembered. Just like several SciFi books I have reread recently. They weren't as good as I remembered either.

That's the kind of thing I want to build when I get to that level.
You amaze me.
