I hope everyone that found Omniflop useful has sent him a donation! I just installed it and it's much easier to use than digging out my 486/75 to create floppies. I sent a donation of $10.

I would consider using Omniflop if I had a floppy drive installed. My newest computer doesn't, but it is something I'm planning to solve. Do you know if it works with USB floppy drives as well?

I'll try it out on my Presario 3045US laptop with USB floppy drive later today and report back. The Gateway 600YGR laptop I'm currently using has an internal floppy drive (where you insert the drive into the drive slot on the sides).

Hmm, just read the PDF documentation file that comes with Omniflop. NOPE! No workee with external USB drives! Apparently, the driver he uses can't gain enough control over the USB floppy drive controller.

Thank you for checking it. I suppose I could've looked it up myself, but while someone else was in the process...
Hm, that effectively means that most modern PCs will be unable to use software like Omniflop, unless you have some 3rd party floppy controller. In my case, I don't have room for a floppy in the case, so even worse. Maybe another reason to keep an obsolete low-class PC.

Yes, and as we know, the 40 track stuff is a much wider track. I don't have to worry about that as I'm using a 1.44 drive on the CoCo.
