I received as a gift a machine that I don't know which model is... I'm not sure the brand even... where can I check that? On the outside part there is no clue...

No writing at all on it? How about inside? How about a picture?
How do you know if it is even a computer, and not a microwave oven?

It could be some home-made computer (if it is a computer at all). In the old days several descriptions were published how to build your own computer, as well as computers sold in kits and modifications to existing computers: i.e. building a proper keyboard for a ZX-81 which could make the computer on the outside look like nothing you've ever seen. Post a picture, perhaps see if you can open it and if the motherboard has some markings. Take a picture of the motherboard too, if it can help to identify it. Does it power on? Does it connect to a TV, a monitor, a terminal? Is it even older, so it doesn't have a visual display?

Then again, there were the dozens of nameless PC clones that were built-up from off-da-shelf components...
