I have a room full of computers, monitors, dot matrix printers, keyboards, mice, etc. It was given to me in pieces and is still that way. I have tried to catalog it, but it is just too much. It is more than a pickup load. I am in the central Kentucky area. I need the space. There are some TRS 80s and IBM XTs. Also a Cathode Ray Oscillograph. Pickup only. Can someone please help?

Thanks

I might know someone in your area (Tennessee, not Kentucky) if you could give us a better idea of what you have. Not a complete list, but like a ballpark guesstimate, like "10 or 12 XT type machines, 5 or so dot matrix printers..." etc. And if you'll make a small list of stuff, you could chip away at the amount of stuff if you'll ship them out little by little.

Got any Commodore or Atari stuff?

Sounds like you have collected quite a load. it`s a shame I do not still live in tennessee(I lived there about 17 years ago.) because I could use some extra parts plus I know of several people that fix computers and are always looking. unfortunatly I live in Iowa so It would obviously it would be a lot harder to get to you than if i still lived in nashville. But if you or anyone else hear of anyone from my area needing to unload please let me know
Thanks
Angel

Here is a partial list. I haven’t made it to the other end of the room or the attic yet, but I am working on it. I haven't tested any of these.

IBM Personal Computer XT – I have about 18 of these – some are 5150 and some are 5160.
Radio Shack TRS-80 Model 4 – I have 4 of these

1 each of the following:
IBM PS-1
IBM PS/2
Heathkit H9
Dell 333 s/L
AT&T 6386 SX/EL20 W6S
Aptiva 510
Zenith Data System Z-Server EX 433DE
Gateway P5-120
Macintosh Centris 660 AV
Zenith Data Systems Z-433D+
AXCEL by Packard Bell
Radio Shack TRS-80 Model III
A couple of No Names
I have about 30 more that I will need time to get info from.

Printers:
IBM ProPrinter
Panasonic Quiet KX-P2135 24 Pin Color
IBM Quietwriter III 5202
Panasonic KX-P1624 24 Pin MultiMode – I have 2 of these
Epson LQ-1000
IBM 2381-001
IBM Quickwriter
I have more printers, but haven’t gotten to them yet. Maybe 10 or so.

I do have a strange looking monitor. It says CIT-101e.

As I stated earlier, I also have a lot of monitors, keyboards, and mice. There should be some complete systems in there somewhere, but I don't know what goes together. I do know that some of the monitors are monochrome. Also, I don’t know what is vintage, so if any of this does not qualify let me know. It just piled up faster than I could keep up with it.

I am just putting in numbers and info that is on the machines. I don’t know what is inside.

I thought I saw a Commodore once, but I haven’t run across it yet. I’ll keep checking. I’m pretty sure there are no Ataris, but I’ll keep looking for that also.

My goodness, an early 80s computer fest!

The 5150 would be an original IBM PC. I'm not sure what the model became when they went to the XT. 18 of 'em, ay? Wow! The pack-rat in me (the one tempted to pick up the entire discard pile in Rummy) is sweating. I'm in South Carolina and could make the trip but I'm looking at throwing out fewer items than you have.
I had hoped by this stage in life to have the stable Tech job and a garage/shop to forever tinker in.

It would help you in getting rid of them to see what works and what doesn't. I've had interesting times with what I have because it gets flakey 25 years down the road.

I think it was a TRS80 III at another place I once worked at. It was dumped on the owner by an unscrupulous guy who used company credit to get himself a PC. This TRS has two floppy disk drives and monitor and keyboard all built into one piece system? If so, it runs CP/M which I still have a few disks for. (copies a former landlord engineer had)

I will keep you in mind.

I am in central KY. Please post the rest of the items as you figure out what you have... I may be interested in some of it, depending on what the "other 30" items are...

I am looking for a pair of IBM color monitors 5152, 5153 or 5154 any of those models will work, would even go for a monochrome. I am willing to pay ship and it would be appreciated.

I also desparately need a Magnavox (commodore) RGB color monitor with a 9pin connector like the 1cm135.

Thanx
Ryan
