I know this is really off topic but there has been a very dangerous strain of influenza b that has been going around in my area anyway. A little girl died. It is a strange flu because she had body aches so bad that it was crippiling but she did not have a high fever. and other children have been hospitalized with same symptoms. this is even hitting those that had a flu shot so I wanted to let everyone know what is out there just in case because it is so deadly. Be careful everyone

It isn't the tainted peanut butter thing, is it? I hope they're testing for that, too. I say that cause things can get misdiagnosed and appear to be a flu when it could be something very worse, i.e. Lyme disease.

I don`t know I hope not I am not sure what they have tested for but the news said she tested positive for influenza b I know it is scary because there has already been children either die or hospitalized because of it. I am scared for my little boy because he does not talk so if he gets sick it is harder for the doctors to diagnose I keep a watchful eye. I read about the peanut butter scare we had peter pan but it had not been eaten so we threw it out. It almost is too scary to eat anymore!!

Has anybody read "The Stand" by Stephen King? The movie of it was also well done, but it should have been since it was IIRC eight hours long!

According to here (http://www.omaha.com/index.php?u_page=2798&u_sid=2331316), the girl had influenza A and that one to two deaths in children each flu season. Also, this girl did not get a flu vaccination shot this year.

The flu shot is an estimation of what flu mutations (constantly changing)would strike for that season anyway, and will not cover the mutations outside that...

I must of misread it I read another article that I thought said b. one of the other kids that had it had a flu shot he survived and was only hospitialized. I started getting getting a little nervous because I woke up sick with body aches and fever but it seems to be just a cold
