Good luck with the cable. It seems to be No. 1 part missing from SX-64:s. Numerous have the discussions been about how it is possible to build your own, often pointing to a fully configured DB25 serial (*) cable where you file down the connector on the outside so it fits like it should. I can't vouch 100% that it will work, but other than finding the original cable (especially important for collecting purposes), it seems the second best bet. No idea about the built-in power supply though.
(*) Or if it is parallel.. I can't recall which "gender" the contacts on the SX and its keyboard have. You get the idea, just look for a cable with the right type of connectors.

Finally I own my own SX-64 so I could have a closer look at the keyboard cable and understand exactly how it is different from a regular DB25. It seems two pins are (on purpose) missing, but I dunno if the physical shape is much different.
Anyway, I suppose by now you may have found a spare keyboard cable. I wouldn't sell mine, but may at least look into what it takes to build a replacement cable, analogous to the other discussions recently which services or items it is worthwhile to produce counterfei... sorry, replacements of. As I wrote last year, this particular cable is quite often sought after as it seems there is no natural compartment within the SX-64 computer case to store it so many owners may have misplaced their cables.

I often wonder about that. I keep mine rolled up in the bay above the disk drive but I assume that's where spare disks were suppose to be stored when the owner was one the move. Where did Commodore expect you to store that thing?

Why, in the little black Commodore velvet pouch they included with the system, of course.

But that pouch contains two floppy disk boxes? At least some do, I have a total of two black poches. One has two floppy disk boxes inside and one doesn't.

Ahh. Damm...that means my SX-64 is incomplete! :)

According to the manual, the two white boxes in the black velvet pouch is for the cabels. One of the boxes should be a little smaller than the other. The big one is for the power cord and the smaller for the keyboard cord.

How strange. I just sold the one velvet pouch which was stuffed with two floppy disk boxes in dark grey-brown paper. Perhaps it was an aftercontruction or incredibly rare? It could also be so that Commodore produced more pouches than they sold SX-64:s, so at the end they used them for carrying floppy disks as the dimensions are the correct ones.
