Hi.

I am looking for Tandy 1000 based peripherals and equipment. I landed an auction for a 1000EX which is nice, even though I'm really hoping to get a HX and then maybe a desktop 1000 based unit. Anyhow, I'm interested in the following item types.

Tandy 1000 era joysticks (Tandy Joysticks)
External floppy drives
Tandy CGA and EGA monitors
any other Tandy related software, equipment or peripherals from the Tandy 1000 days.

Actually in a Tandy product magazine that I saw there is a pic of the 1000 HX and it is under a white monitor riser. Basically the back half of the 1000 HX slides under this monitor riser and the monitor sits on top of the riser. I'd love to get one of those if they are still out there. If not, I have a generic stand that is very similar that I can use.

Oh, how about Tandy manuals, magazines or books. I'd be interested in some of them as well if anyone has them. Deskmate, ect...

I am a vintage computer and video game collector/user so I can possibly trade for these items or purchase them if the price is fair.

Thanks
John

Well, I'd like to help you out here, but none of the Tandy machines I have are as NEW as the 1000, just Model 1s, a 2K, a Model 12, a Model 16 and a Model 16BHD.

I'll keep an eye out for the stuff you mentioned though.

I have a Tandy 1000HX with 2x720K internal floppies, the 640K RAM expansion, external 360K drive, funky printer cable, serial plus card (needs a gender changer), and a CM-11 CGA monitor.

Its a nice setup, I just need a Tandy joystick to finish it up. That monitor bench would be nice to have, I think companies made the same thing for the old Amiga 500 and Atari ST style machine. I just ballance my monitor on top of the HX, its not that heavy.

Are you looking for a 3.5" drive? I think you can use a 5.25" adapter to convert the EX into an HX (asuming you can find the correct Tandy style floppy). The hardest things to find for the EX/HX are HD controllers, RAM expansions, and the external drives.
