Multitech (MPF-I, MPF-II, MPF-III etc) was renamed to Acer in 1987. Already there, it is borderline for the true vintage feeling. Does PDT mean portable data terminal, and does it refer to a laptop, PDA or something else? Google is clueless in this regard.

I really don't have a lot of tolerance for people who ask for something, but write so poorly that you can't understand what it is they are asking for.

Also, since you are soliciting customer service stories, perhaps you should identify your relation to the company (if any) and maybe take the stories by private message/email instead of having people post publicly here?
