Corestore

Big Iron has arrived. The Corestore is presently divided between the UK and the USA... probably going to stay that way for the forseeable future. Original plan was to move the UK stuff across here, as soon as we had suitable accomodation... that time has now come, but the suitable accomodation is already full of the 'junk' that has been accumulated since we came to the USA!
Anyway, the Corestore comprises a collection of around 150 machines, with an emphasis on DEC and IBM products, 1965-1980. There are some moderately exotic items, such as two pdp-15s, and three pdp-10s, and the most recent arrival, an IBM 1800. Supercomputers and early workstations are also of interest.
The Corestore is presently one guy, Mike Ross, plus a few odd occasional co-conspirators, but I plan to incorporate as a 'not-for-profit' sometime this year.
Top of the wanted list? A KA or KI -10, but they are unobtanium. Slightly less unlikely, an IBM System/360, early System/370, or System/3.
Oh, you can see the results of this madness at:
http://www.corestore.org/compute.htm
(well, some of the results; I'm quite behind and incomplete at getting the machines on the web).
Cheers
Mike
(40 today. Bah. Humbug.)
(but my wife did buy me a mainframe for my birthday - don't bother to email, I'm keeping the mainframe AND the wife! :) )
