Should be an interesting watch....
EDIT: Wow! Same seller has an Imsai 8080 w/ original box, as well. Estate auction, apparently.
Looks like they link back here to vintage-computer.com

Nice. The system is built out wrong (ribbon cable, incorrect motherboard (although it could be a MITS anyway) etc. but the condition is exceptional.
And the box is cool. :)

I have been trying for this one, but don't have a high confidence I will win.

Same seller listed 2 others, including an 8800b.
Dang - whoever died, sure had GREAT taste in vintage equipment ;)

I saw that as well. I bookmarked everything they are selling. Nice estate sale, imo.

Hi,
I just listed our old Altair 8800 system on ebay. Then looking for information on it, I found this forum. If anyone is interested it is ebay Item number: 180133473494

This is my first post, so sorry if this is at all inappropriate here.
My Dad and older brother built it when I was around ten years old, I'm 42 now! Still have a lot of great memories of the success, failure, and mostly the fun we had working with this machine.

I could not resist almost every major version of Altair BASIC on cassette! I will post results of testing asap.

Wow, that's an amazing final price. I had bid early on, but it quickly got out of control. I can't wait for the results...

Yeah, I'd meant to congratulate you on that.
My bid was way lower. :)
I hope everything works perfectly!

Keith-
That's a nice looking system and a very early version of the Pertec FD400 floppy drive. I suggest that you also mention your auction to the people over at the Altair Computer Club at
