Anyone here have it? I've been thinking of getting it, but I wonder how good the HDTV support is.

With what I got (digital cable), it's bad enough that the picture goes out at 1am every night..

Yeah, I got it. It is surprisingly nice. Not only is the internet the fastest available(unless you go industrial) it is also cheap. Anyway, the HDTV support is nice. The channels and ON DEMAND layout are different from Comcast, and take some getting used to, but is all-in-all good. I have NEVER had any problems with the TV. Another cool feature is, if you get the DVR, you can watch your recordings in any room with a cable box. It is really awesome. A big step from Comcast, a HUGE step from basic. I highly recommend it, especially if you are big on TV and internet.

Well since is Fibre Optic, internet should be fast since in theory the only limit to the speed is how fast you can make the light blink. I'd love to get fibre in my area but this city sucks...

From what I hear though, it's fiber to the house, and if you have a TV without a box, it's converted into coax via a transceiver. I wonder what transceiver they use, and how good...

For the TVs with the high def box, I wonder if it's fiber to the TV then... (i hope)...

yes, that's basically how it works. If you have a High-def box, you use fiber optics to the TV. If you don't, then you use regular copper wiring. But, without a high-def box, you can't watch TV in High-def, and only get sound. but luckily, if it is in high-def it is in regualar as well, and vice versa.

well, there's only one HDTV in the house where I live, mine.. my father has regular old TVs in all the other rooms.. Luckily, my room is right next to the utility hookups... But I'd asume they'll send NTSC over the copper to regular TVs, correct? I'd only need the HD box, in which I am using the supplied one from the cable company for while I have their service..
