Looking for someone to troubleshoot/repair my Atari 800 computer. Red "ON" lite comes on but absolutely nothing to indicate the computer is active. No screen whatever.

It would be useful to know what sort of screen you've got it connected to,
using what sort of cable and which connector on the computer.

do you have the cord just pluged into your video jack?

Make sure you're going through an RF adapter.. although the video out looks like RCA you won't get anything if you're hooking it up to the video connector on a VCR or RCA TV.

Just a hunch.. I know I've done it a few times on systems I couldn't tell which type of plug it was.

I still don't have a good way of knowing which is which except usually I've seen RCA as yellow and RF as maroon.
